Dentons Rodyk has acted as Singapore counsel to Udaan, an Indian B2B online marketplace, in its US$225 million Series C investment round led by DST Global and Lightspeed Venture Partners. Udaan achieved a valuation of US$1 billion for this investment round, making it the fastest Indian start-up to obtain unicorn status. 

The company was founded in 2016 by 3 former Flipkart employees and connects traders, wholesalers, retailers and manufacturers on a single mobile app platform. 

The Dentons Rodyk team advising Udaan was led by Partner Ray Chiang along with Senior Associate Nicole Teo.
