Dentons Rodyk Senior Partner Edmund Leow, SC who heads the firm’s Tax and Trusts practice, has been elected as President of the Singapore Trustees Association (STA), following the association’s Annual General Meeting held on 13 March 2019.

Edmund will be serving a term of two years.

Edmund is a co-founder of the STA, and previously served as its President from 2004 to 2008, then as Vice President from 2008 to 2013. 

The STA represents the interests of trust companies in Singapore. It was registered with the Registrar of Societies, Singapore, on 15th August 2002. In this role, the STA gives views and recommendations on proposed changes to existing legislation or rules which affect the Singapore trust industry. The STA also organises conferences, seminars and meetings to discuss issues which affect the trust industry in Singapore as a whole.
