Dentons Rodyk is pleased to share that Senior Partner Edmund Leow, SC has been named Asia Tax Practice Leader of the Year at the International Tax Review (ITR) Asia Tax Awards 2019. The news was revealed at ITR’s awards ceremony held on Thursday, 9 May 2019 at the Marina Mandarin Singapore.

The head of our Tax and Trusts practice, Edmund’s vast experience and background can be considered rare and distinguished in the Singapore market. His career achievements include being the first and only tax and trusts lawyer to be made a Senior Counsel, and the first and only tax and trusts lawyer to be made a High Court Judge (he held on to the appointment for three years).

His work highlights from the past year include advising a multinational corporation on implications pertaining to certain tax incentive changes, and acting as Singapore tax advisor on a major commercial transaction which was a complex matter involving different issues including trusts and tax for certain beneficial owners for one of India’s largest e-commerce platforms.
