Posted on July 18, 2019 We are looking for an Innovation and Knowledge Management Manager. The Innovation & KM Manager will drive the success of Dentons Rodyk’s Innovation & Knowledge Management (“IKM“) Department, an in-house consulting team responsible for transformative and high-impact projects, to improve (1) quality of work and service delivery; (2) collaboration between lawyers, staff and clients; and (3) divisional and firm-wide profit margins. The Manager will also have the opportunity to work with a global Dentons innovation team to support innovation engagement across Dentons regions. The Manager will have a direct influence on the innovation strategy of the firm and direct contact with both internal and external stakeholders. Therefore it will be a great advantage to understand how a law firm works and the relationships between different stakeholders, their clients and the departments. The Manager will also gain direct, real-world, and global exposure to the high-growth and quickly-evolving “legal tech” industry at one of the largest and most innovative law firms in Singapore and across the globe. As you would expect with a global firm, the team will consist of people from multiple countries. This is an exciting role where flexibility will be required to work where customer demand is the greatest. Responsibilities: Oversee execution of innovation strategy and priorities agreed with IKMC stakeholders and in line with approved innovation budget Act as an ambassador for change and a key point of contact for improvement projects Analyse existing processes to identify business improvement activity needed Develop and coordinate user engagement programs, regular communications and trainings on specific innovation tools and innovation best practices Lead and direct different cross-functional programs and projects of varied sizes and types concurrently Ideate, develop and oversee the deployment of client-facing and internal innovations, process improvements, and collaborations Continually review processes and improvements to ensure this is in line with the firm’s expectations Working end to end on a variety of consultancy projects including Data Management, Data Warehousing, Data Integration, Data Quality, Data Migration, Business Intelligence and Analytics for clients in sectors including financial services, retail and technology. Engage and negotiate with vendors in the best interest of the Firm and obtain competitive market rates in line with size and reputation of Dentons Deliver Global Innovation Team deliverables to the scope, quality and timeline agreed with the Global Innovation Team leaders Requirements: A legal or professional services background, or a solid understanding of how legal departments operate is highly desirable Ability to apply high energy and creativity to the role, looking at new ways of working, utilising design thinking Ability to take initiative and act autonomously A strong client centricity focus Knowledge of the legal technology market for supporting innovation is preferred Proven stakeholder management internally and with clients Outstanding interpersonal skills, able to quickly establish rapport, build trust, demonstrate credibility and authority Excellent judgement, an ability to make reasoned decisions and to communicate them effectively Resilient and pragmatic with strong commercial acumen We thank you for your interest.
