Qiu Li is a Partner in Dentons Rodyk's Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice.

In her practice, Qiu Li advises and acts for various healthcare institutions, medical practitioners, and medical defence organisations in both contentious claims and non-contentious advisory work. She also represents medical practitioners in disciplinary proceedings before the Singapore Medical Council. In addition, she handles commercial disputes and international arbitration involving international and foreign state-owned entities.

Qiu Li graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2016 and was admitted to the Singapore Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor in 2017.

Experience

  • Various healthcare institutions and medical practitioners: Advising and acting in medico-legal claims, including medical negligence suits in the State Courts and High Court, and coroner’s inquiry proceedings.
  • Medical practitioners: Advising and acting for various medical practitioners in disciplinary proceedings before the Singapore Medical Council.
  • International bank: Acting for an international bank in an SIAC arbitration relating to a contractual dispute against an Indonesian State Owned Enterprise.
  • Indonesian conglomerate: Acted for an Indonesian conglomerate in an ICC arbitration relating to an oil & gas dispute against an Indonesian Production Sharing Contractor.
  • Insurance company: Acted for a multinational insurance company relating to a death claim by an insured’s beneficiary.
