Dentons Rodyk & Davidson LLP, part of the world’s largest law firm, Dentons, is pleased to announce that John Dick has joined the Firm as part of its Energy, Resources and Infrastructure practice and its South East Asia regional practice.

John brings 27 years of legal experience, particularly in South East Asia. During his career he has advised on a wide range of matters, including:

• All aspects of mining projects across South East Asia and Australia, with a particular emphasis on Indonesia
• Exploration for and development of oil and gas resources
• Development of captive, independent power producer (IPP) and merchant power projects, as well as power sales and purchase agreements and construction and procurement contracts
• Projects in telecommunications, water and waste, social infrastructure development, road and rail, port development and industrial park development
• Mergers and acquisitions involving investments in numerous industries across the region, including energy, infrastructure, fast-moving consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, heavy industry and services

John’s involvement in South East Asia began at Freehills (now Herbert Smith Freehills), where he helped set up and run offices in Vietnam and Singapore. He joins Dentons Rodyk after four years at Ernst & Young.
