Four of Dentons Rodyk’s next-gen leaders, Chun Ying Ng (Tax), Debby Lim (Litigation & Dispute Resolution), Jonathan Guwe (Finance), and Mark Wong (Corporate), have been admitted into the firm’s senior partnership, effective 1 January 2025.   

This latest admission reflects the instrumental roles all four lawyers play in the growth of their respective practices and brings Dentons Rodyk’s senior partner headcount to 50.  

A rising legal star, Chun Ying Ng is known for her expertise in local and international tax matters and has become a trusted advisor to a range of clients, from multinational corporations to emerging regional businesses. Her ability to handle matters of substantial value and complexity has earned her recognition within the industry, as she continues to build an impressive portfolio of high-stakes cases.    

As deputy head of the firm’s restructuring, insolvency, and bankruptcy practice, Debby Lim has earned a stellar reputation for her work on high-profile, complex cross-border insolvency matters and her exceptional appellate advocacy. She is one of the youngest people to have successfully argued two complex appeals before an expanded five-judge Court of Appeal coram.  Her contributions have not only advanced our clients' interests but also shaped the development of insolvency jurisprudence in Singapore and beyond.  

Jonathan Guwe, who leads Dentons Rodyk’s Energy practice, has over 15 years of experience in the banking, finance, and energy sectors and has navigated numerous complex cross-border transactions in emerging markets, spearheading infrastructure projects spanning hydroelectric, solar, and wind energy. His deep involvement in these matters, from conception to commercial operation, gives him unparalleled insight into the challenges and opportunities these ventures present.    

With extensive experience in Singapore, Beijing, and Paris, Mark Wong is a distinguished M&A specialist who seamlessly navigates both common law and civil law jurisdictions. As the first Singaporean admitted to the Paris Bar, in addition to being qualified in Singapore, he brings local and international expertise to the firm’s Corporate practice. In Singapore, Mark advises Singapore-based and international clients on complex M&A transactions and supports listed companies in regulatory and compliance matters, providing strategic, commercially focused counsel.
